Yoga in Primary Schools

Inspired Kids offers primary schools the opportunity to host a yoga class as part of the children's weekly school routine.

The yoga classes could be incorporated into initiatives such as the Sport Development Programme or the Emotional Health and Well-being Programme. They can be hosted as part of an extended hours provision in an after school club, lunch club or breakfast club. Alternatively, the practice can take place during PPA time.

The classes are 30 to 45 minutes long, in groups of 10 to 16 children maximum. The programme uses yoga techniques designed especially for children, engaging their entire mind and body and encouraging the use of their innate intelligence with an approach that respects all the different ways children learn.

Inspired Kids operates on a term-by-term basis (approximately 10 lessons with a break for half term). The price is in line with other after school classes or similar activities offered by schools.

As an organisation we are committed to delivering a comprehensive and professional service to schools, by overseeing all the necessary formalities of the yoga class, such as registering children, liaising with parents and collecting payments. All our teachers are fully qualified, CRB checked and familiar with the child protection guidelines issued by the British Wheel of Yoga.
